Gustav Robert Kirchhoff

In 1845, as a student, Kirchhoff announced Kirchhoff’s laws, which allow calculation of the currents, voltages, and resistances of electrical networks. Extending the theory of Georg Simon Ohm, he generalized the equations describing current flow to the case of electrical conductors in three dimensions. In further studies he demonstrated that current flows through a conductor at the speed of light.

Gaia LV Network Design

Gaia LV Network Design is a unique program, that makes it easy to determine network component loads and ensure voltage management. Most importantly, it ensures the safety of people in the event of short-circuits. Gaia LV Network Design can automatically define the dimensions of a network, based on technical and economical criteria.

The only thing more important than power quality is contact safety

Expansion of existing networks

The LV network connects the customer’s installation to the MV/LV transformer. It seems simple: just a long cable with branches towards each customer.
But how to ensure the power quality and the contact safety? Gaia LV Network Design is a reliable and efficient tool for daily practice network planning.

To ensure Gaia LV Network Design is attuned to the daily needs of LV electricity network designers, we have developed the calculation method and graphical user interface of the software in close co-operation with our clients. Their input in user groups guarantees the program stays ahead of the curve.
