Gustav Robert Kirchhoff

In 1845, as a student, Kirchhoff announced Kirchhoff’s laws, which allow calculation of the currents, voltages, and resistances of electrical networks. Extending the theory of Georg Simon Ohm, he generalized the equations describing current flow to the case of electrical conductors in three dimensions. In further studies he demonstrated that current flows through a conductor at the speed of light.

spacerVision Transport Analysis

Vision Transport Analysis is a tool for the network operator for a day to day evaluation of transmission capability of the electricity network

The transmission profile is a result of the total hourly energy production and demand in a region. Within a few hours the network operator must declare whether this daily transmission profile is feasible or not. His network must at all times comply with the power quality and reliability requirements, also when connections are out of order or in maintenance. The network operator can evaluate if it is possible to carry out the maintenance in the given situation and whether transformer tap settings and generator voltage settings have to be altered.
